Using Adobe Premiere Pro:
Go to the Effects Tab
Opacity: Mask out what you don’t need
Pen Tool: Mask out area you want to keep. Play back the clip to make sure the mask includes everything you want to keep, repositioning the points as needed.
Effects: Chroma key out the green
Ultra Key: Search for the Ultra Key effect and drag that over to your clip.
Color Picker: Take the color picker tool and select the color you want to remove—the green.
Alpha Channel: Change the output to Alpha Channel. This will show you a mask of everything being keyed out. If it’s white, it’s visible; if it’s black, it’s invisible.
Matte Generation: Clean up the background
Transparency: As high as possible without biting into the white mask.
Shadow: As low as possible without biting into the white mask.
Pedestal: As high as looks good without biting into the mask, but not too high.
All throughout, play the clip now and then to make sure it’s working well in all the frames.
Composite: Change output back from Alpha Channel to Composite.
Matte Cleanup: Remove the line around the subject
Choke: Choke just a little to remove the line.
Soften: Soften just a little for the hair, but keep it crisp.
Spill Suppression: Remove the green cast on the subject reflecting from the green screen
Desaturate – Increase as much as possible without losing all your color.
