Wayne D. Smutz, Ph. D., was recently appointed executive director of Penn State World Campus. World Campus became a reality in 1997 with only 47 students. Today, it boasts more than 9,600. Smutz sat down with Penn State Outreach to talk about the importance of online education at Penn State.
