The angle grinder is sparking, overheating, the brushes are burning, and it seems to be happening for no apparent reason.
Checking with the IMZ device and the Interturn Short Circuit Indicator showed no shorted turns. The armature is not shorted, and the stator is also in good working order.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the brush tunnel had been recessed and even flipped over due to heat.
This was caused by poor contact between the brush guide and the stator winding. So, the cause of the grinder overheating and the brushes burning has been identified.
