[Han River Bike Trail] Riding Through Spring Blooms 🌸 Chungju Dam to Ara Lock (Day 1) 🚴♂️

In this video, I complete the full Han River cycling route, riding from Chungju Dam Certification Center all the way to the Ara Waterway Lock.
My journey began at 3:33 AM from Daejigyo Bridge along Tancheon, covering 31 km to Dong Seoul Bus Terminal before heading to Chungju. From Chungju Bus Terminal, I passed through Tangeumdae Certification Center and finally reached Chungju Dam, where the real adventure began.
From the fully bloomed cherry blossom path between Tangeumdae and Mokhaeng Bridge, to the peaceful riverside views along the Namhan River heading toward Binaeseom, every moment felt like spring quietly unfolding in the most vibrant way 🌸
I rode past Gangcheon Weir, Yeoju Weir, and Ipo Weir, enjoying sunsets, blooming flowers, and even a magical night ride through Yangpyeong’s cherry blossom roads.
The next morning, I started again from Yangpyeong Art Museum Certification Center. Passing through Paldang Dam, Neungnae Station, Gwangnaru, Ttukseom, Yeouido, and Gangseo Hangang Park, I finally reached my destination — Ara Waterway Lock — completing the entire Han River cycling route.
There were challenges along the way — knee pain, cold air, and hunger — but the cherry blossoms, forsythia, and the beautiful scenery of the rivers kept me going.
And the final cherry blossom path along Tancheon felt like a small but meaningful gift at the end of a long journey.
After riding such a long distance, I realized something simple:
Happiness might be closer than we think 😊
