Bomb Cyclone (2023) for mixed sextet. First premiered in Brown Hall at the New England Conservatory of Music in October 2023, and recorded in Distler Hall at Tufts University in November 2023.
Program Note:
Bomb Cyclone (2023) was written in response to the several consecutive atmospheric rivers which overwhelmed the San Francisco Bay Area in early 2023. As anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions warm the atmosphere, the air’s higher water content has given rise to these fast-acting storms colloquially known as bomb cyclones.
