Jumping spiders are a family of spiders with over 5,800 species. All of them are active day hunters. They have a special hydraulic system - the ability to expand their limbs as a result of changes in blood pressure, which allows you to jump long distances. Also, unlike other spiders, they can easily climb glass. Very small hairs and claws help with this.
All species have eight eyes arranged in three rows. The first row is represented by four large eyes, creating a recognizable face. The front eyes are very large and mobile, with their help spiders can perceive not only the shape of objects, but also different colors. The second row is formed by a pair of very small eyes in the middle of the head. In the third row there are a pair of larger eyes, at the corners of the back of the head and near the border with the chest. All of these eyes provide a view of almost 360 degrees.
In Russia, very small species are most often found, several millimeters long, one of which became the hero of this video.
