Garden Diary VI. SITE TOUR, SPRING GARDEN VIEW!
Welcome everyone to our garden.
Today we invite you on a tour of our garden.
Spring is drawing to a close, and we've almost completed all the spring work in our garden. You can read about all the work in detail in the five parts of our gardening diary; the work has been truly monumental.
We removed the old raised beds, spread the soil across the garden, and seeded grass. We did the spring pruning of the garden, apple trees, stone fruits, and hydrangeas. We transplanted a mature pear tree, four honeysuckles, a Thunberg barberry, asparagus, grasses, and raspberries. We planted two hydrangeas, a Pioneer apple tree, a Spiraea billardii, cucumbers, zucchini, squash, peas, onions, and herbs, and began planting petunias and other annuals in pots and flowerbeds. We trimmed absolutely all the conifers on the property, including the arborvitaes, junipers, and spruces. We mulched and fertilized the blueberries and blackberries, pinched back the blackberry shoots, and even mowed the lawn twice already.
