To many, my life sounds like a nightmare. I'm single, self-employed, live with my mom, enjoy eating alone—and I like my life just the way it is.
In the past, I would have justified many things. For my decisions, for my lifestyle, for not being "normal." But today I know: My life doesn't have to fit your expectations. And yours doesn't have to fit mine.
We are allowed to shape our lives the way that feels right for us. I don't live my life to fulfill expectations. Not those of family, friends, or society. And you know what? That's exactly how I want to pass it on to each of you: Your life belongs to you. You don't have to prove anything to anyone.
