PowerShell Commands
1) Import-Module ADSync
Stop Sync
2) Set-ADSyncScheduler -SyncCycleEnabled $false
Verify on prem sync is disabled
3) Get-ADSyncScheduler | ft SyncCycleEnabled
Connect to Azure AD
4) Connect-MsolService
Turn off directory synchronization
5) Set-MsolDirSyncEnabled -EnableDirSync $false
Check that Azure AD directory synchronization is disabled
6) (Get-MSOLCompanyInformation).DirectorySynchronizationEnabled
If you get an error while using Connect-MsolService
1) [Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12
2) uninstall-module AzureAD
3) install-module AzureAD
4) install-module MSOnline
5) Import-Module MSOnline
6) $credentials = Get-Credential
7) Connect-MsolService -Credential $credentials
