Active scan tool: Testing transmission shift solenoids with Autel scanner
I use an active scan tool to demonstrate testing transmission shift solenoids. The Autel scanner I use for the procedure is the Autel MaxiPRO MP808TS bidirectional diagnostic tool. I run an active test on the automatic transmission shift solenoids of a 7th generation Honda Accord. This is a bidirectional test.
This procedure is especially useful for isolating defective shift solenoids when you troubleshoot shift solenoid codes.
