WatchESPN App on a PC or Laptop using Windows-10
You asked, so we made a quick video...
To watch Handball or other sports programming on your PC using www.watchespn.com is really easy. Once you get logged in, you can hook your laptop or PC right into your TV using an HDMI cable, or you can cast your computer screen with a device like Chromecast, for example. We use Roku to watch the ESPN App on our Smart TV's and in the next episode, we will show you how it's done.
In this episode, however, it's a PC or Laptop that will be explained following these steps:
1. Make sure your cable or satellite TV provider is affiliated with WatchESPN: http://promo.espn.go.com/espn/contest...
2. Once you verify, make sure to confirm your cable or satellite TV's log in credentials (you will need them in the next step)
3. www.watchespn.com (www.espn.com/watch)
4. Click the "Schedule & Replays" tab across the top of the web page's header.
5. Under the Headline "Schedule" you will have these options: Live Now, Upcoming & Replay. You will also see a drop down menu for "All Sports" & "All Networks."
6. Click the "All Networks" drop-down and select the sport channel you want to view. We selected ESPN3 in order to watch the Sport of Handball.
7. Click the "All Sports" drop-down and select the sport you want to view. We selected "Handball."
8a. At the time of this video, Handball didn't have any LIVE programming within 30 days (if Handball were LIVE you would be provided with a link identical to the link seen in the replay section listed below under 8b.), so we selected the Replay button then picked the last 30 days from the drop-down bar (next to Network & Sports). Handball's latest tournament is displayed. Click the link for the day you'd like to watch.
8b. If LIVE handball was occurring at the time of your viewing, then a link would immediately appear that would look identical to the link displayed for on-demand viewing (Replays). Click this link!
9. You are now asked to log into WatchESPN with your cable or satellite TV's provider. Note: From our experience, once you log in, and as long as you ask this log in to "Remember me [you]" then you will remain logged in on that device and most, if not all, of these steps would be streamlined upon your next visit.
10. Choose your provider. In our video, we chose DirectTV. The full list of providers will be available for you.
11. Add your username and password and make sure to have your PC/Laptop remember your selections. We clicked the "Remember Me" box just before logging in.
12. The Video Player appears and will start buffering. If you want to watch LIVE programming, look to the right side panel and view any of ESPN's channels that are available to you.
