Level 1 (A Soul as Red as a Ground Cherry) - "Touhou: UFO Romance Under the Night Sky"
Arrange of EoSD's Stage 1 theme in a chiptune style for a Jam game. I think it turned out okay.

The idea for the game changed a lot during creation. I initially pitched something along the lines of Kirby's Dreamland 3 with Kogasa being a more complex Parasol and Nue as something along the lines of Spear. While we did stick with the pairing, the style of gameplay was retooled.
Kirby levels and design were too simple I guess. I was told it'd be fairly fast gameplay in the style of a shooter platformer with melee attacks, and some stamina system for projectiles you get back by grazing, and that it'd have linear Mario-like level structure. So, with that in mind, I figured I'd compose something like a Mega Man track.
In the end, it turned out to be a melee platformer, with light metroidvania aspects and a few puzzles here and there. I'm told you can wavedash apparently, tho.
