If you need to create a self-hosted native Apache Cassandra Cluster from scratch in order to follow along with these instructions, we recommend this: https://www.deeplearningwizard.com/da.... Your existing cluster should be running Apache Cassandra version 3.x.x in order for the hybrid cluster setup to work.
If you already have an Apache Casandra cluster running a compatible version, if not configured already, it will need node-to-node encryption in order to communicate with Azure Managed Instance for Apache Cassandra.
