cool scum caresses on hips
treading in muck
melting into murky clarity
blue sky expands in my mouth and belly
rarity in shameless nudity
turned electrified in subtle act of defiance
shhhhh!
someone is coming
whistling is coming
whistling grows
consuming the cicadas song
i hold myself against slimy skin in anticipation
the fisherman walks by
innocuously stares at
pale flesh darting under the surface
i splash him
half scolding – half inviting
he falls in love – i laugh at his simplicity
he reports me to the park ranger – i dive under
he cries because this is how his relationships always end
i smile because this how i like living
