Very powerful particle editor is integrated in GameStudioHX. You can create your own particles, or use some of the presets. The best way is to start with one preset, that looks most similar to your idea, and then, by modifying parameters, you can adjust what ever you want. Anything you make with this particle editor, can be exported as plist file.
