Email Automation in Airtable - (Part 2): Gmail Integration & Scaling Templates
This is Part 2 of a beginner-level video series on email automation in Airtable, created by Kris, a developer on the Optimize IS team.
In this video, Kris builds on the fundamentals from Part 1 and introduces Airtable’s native Gmail integration, while exploring what happens when email automation starts to scale beyond a single template.

• The limitations of simple checkbox-based triggers
• How to use conditional logic to branch between email templates

Although this is still part of the beginner series, the patterns shown here are commonly used in real systems - especially for teams managing a small number of email templates inside an operational base.
This video also intentionally highlights where these approaches begin to feel cumbersome, setting the stage for the next parts of the series, where more scalable methods are introduced.
