Introduction to Laplace Transform- Why do we use Laplace Transform? What s time and frequency domain
This video Discusses the introduction of Laplace transform. Laplace transform is a mathematical tool to solve differential equations. There are numerous ways to solve differential equations. And one of them is Laplace transform. This is also called a frequency domain transform. Computations surprisingly simplify as we convert the differential equations which are in time domain into the frequency domain.
The Basic operations that we perform in Laplace transform are Multiplication and division instead of solving the Differential equations.
The method is useful in Electrical and Electronics engineering , wherein the complex systems take input x(t) and give output y(t) With the characteristic equation h(t) these all get converted to their respective Laplace transforms, X(s), Y(s) and H(s) and H(s) is known as Transfer function.
The basic definition of Laplace transform in mathematical term is also discussed.
In Engineering the Elements like Capacitor, Inductor and Resistances make up a circuit and such circuits have specific response to the inputs. to identify the output from input we need to solve a differential equation.
