So, I know what you're thinking… It says "3 seconds," but the video is longer than that. The 3 seconds is the actual lock picking once the paper clips are ready.
1. Bend one paper clip so you can wedge it in the lock.
2. Unbend the other and make a small hook at the end.
3. Insert the first paper clip into the top of the lock and apply pressure to turn the cylinder in the unlocking direction.
4. Scrape the pins at the bottom of the lock.
Once you master the technique, it's very quick!
Before you all cry "fake" in the comments, you should know that it all comes down to the pins. These are small metal cylinders that lock the main cylinder. When you insert a key into a lock, they align and allow it to turn.
Okay, granted… this padlock is almost 10 years old. But it works just as well with a newer model.
I went and bought a new one, a classic model with an S-shaped lock that's supposed to slow down lock picking. But in reality, it's not really a problem.
Here, I used lock picks, but it's exactly the same as using a paperclip. You can use whatever you want. Whether it's tools designed for this purpose, paperclips, bobby pins, etc.
If you want to buy picks like mine, here are a couple of links:

I'll add more later today ;)
So, if you want to try it, be aware that it probably won't work on the first try. You have to find the right pressure to apply and get a little practice. For some locks, it's easier if you lightly press on the shackle at the same time.
This scraping technique works for "standard" locks. There's no point in trying it on locks with additional security features; there are other techniques for that. For example, positioning the pins one by one.
I wanted to make a fairly short video. If you're interested, I plan to make a video with other techniques, more details, explaining how they work. So if you're interested, feel free to subscribe and check out the website in the description.
