WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SHOUT AND HIT CHILDREN?

Moms and Dads, of course, we're not referring to the physical consequences for children, such as crying from being yelled at or red skin from being hit, but rather the psychological consequences, which are no less serious. Let's look at what happens to a child's psyche when we yell at and hit them:

1. Shock
How can you not be shocked? Imagine this: You're being yelled at and hit by your wife or husband, but they're three times your size. This person is the one you depend on for food, shelter, safety, and protection. This person is also your source of affection, your source of self-confidence, and your source of all your information about the world—the person you rely on solely. Imagine the shock and pain you'd feel? Well, that feeling is multiplied 1,000-fold! That's the shock a child experiences when they're yelled at and hit by their parents.

2. Making the Future Bleaker
This is terrifying, Moms and Dads. It turns out that children who are exposed to parental anger, including frequent yelling and hitting, will experience negative effects in almost every aspect of their adult lives. From a drop in IQ (Intelligence Quotient) to a decreased ability to socialize normally with other adults, psychologists have repeatedly proven, from cases of serial killers, that the killers usually experienced bullying from adults as children.

3. Becoming Immune
Becoming immune to yelling and slapping is not a good sign that a child is becoming stronger; on the contrary, it's a bad sign! If you notice your child is no longer afraid of your anger, it indicates that they've been scolded too often. This feeling of invulnerability arises because the child has built up a defense against you!

4. Becoming Obedient
Do children who are yelled at and scolded become obedient? Again, this is not a good sign, but the opposite. Because children who appear obedient due to being yelled at and hit do so to please their parents, not because they understand their mistakes. The bad effect is that such children will be mentally weak, dependent on others, and easily influenced by those around them. They will become young children who are easily bullied and ordered around, and will follow wherever their environment takes them.

Moms and Dads, as I've mentioned in other posts, parents who have angry outbursts at their children are usually influenced by a difficult childhood. But now that we're adults, our mental maturity should help us overcome past wounds and stop being angry, yelling, or hitting our children.

Greetings, Smart Parents!
