HOW TO REMOVE ECHO AND NOISE FROM YOUR MICROPHONE IN OBS STUDIO ⚙️✅️

How to remove hissing and noise from your microphone using OBS Studio. Okay! So, you use OBS Studio to record, stream, or, if you're a teacher or student, to give classes, attend classes, etc., and your microphone comes out with a hissing, distorted voice. How can you fix that? It's really simple!

First thing, you'll open your OBS Studio. The first thing you'll do is go here, to *Settings**. Click here on **Settings**, go to the **Audio* section. Here, you go to *Auxiliary Microphone* and select your best microphone. In my case, mine is the **Fifine Microphone**, okay? Select it, click **Apply**, click **OK**.

So, in that case, it will already be working. And what do I recommend you do? I recommend you stay silent for, like, five seconds and see if your microphone is picking up any noise. Look, I'm talking, and this editing bar is increasing. Now I'm going to be silent, and my microphone has to be completely silent. If it continues to pick up sound, it's because my microphone is having problems or its sensitivity is too high.

Let's test in 3... 2... 1...
Then, I stopped talking and it completely muted the volume.

And how are you going to configure yours? You go here, to your microphone bar, right-click and select **Filters**.

The two filters I recommend you use are the *Noise Filter* and *Noise Suppression**. Of course, there are others, like the **Compressor* and many other filters, but I don't like to use them. I especially like to use the **Noise Filter**. In **Noise Suppression**, you can leave it at this setting:

**Release Time**: 150 ms
**Hold Time**: 200 ms
**Attack Time**: 25 ms
**Open Threshold**: I recommend leaving it at -30 dB
**Close Threshold**: I recommend leaving it at -50 dB

Applying this *Noise Filter* will cut your audio when you are not speaking, reducing noise. *Noise Suppression* will cut noise as much as possible, both when you are speaking and when you are not.

Apply these two filters and click here to close.

You can test your microphone by starting a recording or a lesson, and you will see that the microphone within **OBS Studio**, specifically, will be configured without echo, noise, or any other audio problems.

Remember that this varies from microphone to microphone. It's possible your microphone has an internal problem or is a very basic model. But follow the settings I showed in the video, and you'll see a significant improvement in audio quality and voice clarity, as well as a reduction in noise.

Okay? That's it! Simple, quick, and straightforward!
