U-T-M-B. It only takes 4 letters to write something legendary. And two legs to write a story about it. Your own story. Every summer, for nearly 20 years, runners from all over the world have come on a pilgrimage to the Chamonix valley, a magnet for trail runners, to become part of the legend.
They arrive with the same objective – crossing the finish line and making their dream come true. To ensure they're ready on the day, they have prepared for months, even years, having travelled thousands of kilometres in training and having made daily sacrifices. But being ready on the big day also means planning for everything and covering all the details.
For 50 years now at Sidas, we've been looking after a small detail that's actually a big issue: athletes' feet. We're now providing the UTMB runners with our historic know-how.
For us, it is inconceivable that you'd be able to finish 170 km and 11,000 positive elevation changes without first looking after every runner's primary tool – your feet.
Because it is unthinkable for us to see your dream destroyed by an infected blister, overheating that seizes up the arch of your foot as soon as you hit the first downhill stretch or a black toenail that appears after 40 km.
Because we know one thing for sure: enjoyment and performance come from the comfort of your feet.
Because without good preparation and good foot care, we feel like the finish line and the finisher's jacket would be out of reach. Because there's No Finish Line Without Footcare.
