How To Add Category In Opencart - TMD
A category is as important as defining the name of a product. Here we showcase how you can define your product category in OpenCart. OpenCart allows you to define your product category in category master.
Suppose you deal in electronic items such as Digital Cameras, Drones, Laptops, Tablets, iPods, iPads, etc. these denotes categories. Brands and Items come second after categories have been defined properly while there are a variety and different types of Items. In order to manage such variety, you need to define a category.
To define a category in OpenCart go to Catalog → Categories and click on the plus sign to enter a new category. However, OpenCart allows you to enter one category at a time.
In order to upload categories in bulk, you need to integrate your OpenCart store with a Bulk Category upload module.
