Unusual and strange purplish looking fruit in our Akebia quintana. The pulp doesn't look very appetizing, but it actually tastes nice and sweet.
Akebia quinata is a fast growing climbing plant that can grow everywhere from shade to sun. It has beautiful fragrant spring flowers. This vine is winterhardy and can be evergreen during a mild winter.
