El Santo garnered national acclaim as a wrestler, comic book hero, and movie star. But his Cult-like following, despite not dying down is mostly unknown to American audiences. What was El Santo and why did the silver-masked man captivate audiences so deeply? Street artist Chingon_Chingon joins us as we give you an overview of El Santos's rounded career.
River Ouellette's documentary work continues in their attempt to blend true insightful research with the video essay style they have grown to admire. At the time of the first season, River is studying film and video with a focus on early film preservation and of course, production. With this background the 12-30 minute documentaries hope to shed light on film heroes of the past.

About the Director:
River is a video artist most known for their long-form documentary work. Starting in 2017 creating commercials for local businesses, and eventually Releasing their first work Love, Will, and Wisdom in 2022. They have since experimented with film and installation and created several abstract art films based around mental illness. They have been at ESOCRYPT since its founding in 2019.
