Free up Google storage by removing Gmail attachments (without deleting emails).
Unattach: https://unattach.com/
Gmail doesn't let you remove an attachment while keeping the email, so I use Unattach, a tool designed to do this.
How it works:
1. Downloads the selected emails
2. Removes their attachments
3. Inserts the new email into Gmail
4. Moves the original emails to Gmail’s Bin
Privacy:
Email content is never sent to Unattach or third-party servers. All processing happens within your browser.
Storage recovery note:
Google storage is recovered only when the original emails are permanently deleted, which happens automatically after 30 days or immediately if you empty Gmail's Bin.
