Finding deep-sky-objects (DSO) in visual astronomy using manual ALT AZ mounts can be very challenging and time consuming. In this video, I demonstrate the use of a small guide-scope & camera set-up to take star images that are then plate-solved by ASIAIR. Based on these annotated photos and the SKY SAFARI app, sky navigation is greatly facilitated and DSO easily found. Tips for making this visual astronomy experience more enjoyable are presented. The new SVBony MK105 Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is featured.
