eLearn Demonstation
This brief demonstration displays some of the many ways users interact with eLearn. As an online school management system, users of the system are separated into three categories: Administration, Teacher Access, and Student Portal.
Goal
Our primary goal is to create a product that not only integrates many systems into one, making users lives easier, but also to simplify school management. Across the board, our system can dramatically increase staff productivity by automating repetitive tasks. One such example is the automatic informing of students who enter academic probation. A teacher enters grades and attendance, and if a student is absent more than the class policy allows, they are notified via email instantly. No longer did a teacher have to tally truancies and absences each time they took attendance. This simple illustration shows one of the many eLearn helps a school succeed.
Technical Specifications:
eLearn fully utilizes the modern browser's ability to multi-task, and gracefully degrades on older platforms. Data retrieval and storage is fully AJAX driven, allowing a user to use the system without any pitstops or waiting periods. All information is transmitted across a secure HTTPS SSL connection, ensuring that eLearn is as safe as online banking.
