In this video I'll show you how to play Among Us on mac. Among Us is a 2018 online multiplayer social deduction party game from Innersloth (developer & publisher). In this video I show two Mac methods: the native Mac App Store build for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and a PlayCover setup that gives you true fullscreen plus WASD + custom keybinds for actions like Kill, Vent, Report, and Use. If you’ve wondered whether Among Us runs well on Mac—and how to make it feel more like a PC experience—this walkthrough covers it end-to-end.
Compatibility & what you’ll learn
Apple Silicon support: Among Us is available on the Mac App Store for M-series Macs (requires macOS 11+ and an M1 or later). I show a quick install and what to expect with input.
PlayCover method (recommended for keyboard): Install the iOS version via PlayCover, go fullscreen, and set up custom keybinds (WASD movement + hotkeys for abilities). Note: third-party sideloading typically doesn’t support “Sign in with Apple,” so iPhone cosmetics/progress wont carry over. Use the App Store version if that matters to you.
Controller option: If you prefer controller, it works great with either approach (I note pairing basics in the video).
Updates & cleanup: How to update your install and fully remove the app data if you ever need to uninstall.
