This step is very important no matter what composite bow you choose to own. My more complex models (bamboo sinew composite) require slightly more aggressive balancing as they have more reflex and more movement. All composite bows made of natural materials require this. I made a video couple years ago describing this method, decided to do a little update with new camera. As you can see they have memory and even within only 20-30 minutes will move and change in unstrung state. They will move more as time passes. Checking the bows profile is critical every time you string up the bow. It is a pretty simple step but if not done then bow will eventually be damaged. My models with only moderate reflex are not as difficult as some other Asiatic style bows can be to string and balance so the learning curve is better/easier. The rewards of having a properly made composite bow are significant and this small step should not deter you from owning a unique high performance piece of history. They can be passed down as a family heirloom. But if you consider yourself careless/accident prone/lazy then I suggest you order a fiberglass replica. If you are not aware of this step but want to be a composite bow owner then this is easily taught to those capable and willing. There are many fine craftsman creating 100% natural material composite bows out there and they all have similar care and maintenance rules.
