How to Polish Headlights with Toothpaste
Are your headlights a little hazy and they don’t show the road ahead at night very well? Have you ever heard about toothpaste being used to polish headlights? It sounds crazy, but it actually works! In this video, we’ll show you how to simply polish your headlights in a few easy steps.
(0:18) Clean the headlight with glass cleaner or soapy water, then dry with a lint-free towel
(0:30) Use tape to prevent toothpaste from getting on the paint or the grille surfaces
(0:38) Apply toothpaste to a towel and use a small circular pattern to polish the headlight
(1:04) Clean the headlight again with glass cleaner or simple water, then dry with a lint-free towel
(1:16) Add a sealant to the headlight to protect the finish, or expect to need to repeat the process every few months
(1:32) Remove the tape and clean up. You’re done!
