How many of us own a camera? Probably most, so do we ever think what can happen if one day you try to access that card and nothing happens? What if ALL the contents are locked up and out of reach. SD card like any other NAND flash memory device essentially consists of 2 main components controller chip, which is the brain of the device, and memory chip/chips, which are the storage vaults for your data. Every time controller chip fails, all of the data that was on the memory devices gets trapped in the device. Interface can not communicate with storage medium since controller that is suppose to be in charge of operating the memory has rendered itself useless.
