akira nishkiyama villain of yakuza kiwami (aside from jengu), once sworn brothers with yakuza legend, the dragon of dojima, kazuma kiryu, had a kafkaesque downward spiral leading to the monster we meme today. with the amazon prime series covering the events of yakuza and yakuza kiwami (same game, different search terms) on the horizon I wanted to talk about him, spoiler free, and analyze why he deserves more credit as a villain than most are willing to give him credit for.
