Bur Oak Tree Year Three Details [Height, Caliper, Prune, and Protect]
In this video I perform the annual maintenance on the Bur Oak trees (and an American Chestnut). This includes pruning where needed, putting on trunk guards in a few places, and spritzing with deer repellant where necessary. I also calipered the trunks and measured the heights for the second year. I will continue o do this for at least two more years just to have a record of the tree's growth rate and effects of pruning.
