Tesla CyberTruck 2022 New Updates And Final Release Date
One of the first major announcements about the Cybertruck that got the world excited was its optional full self-driving feature that buyers can purchase for an additional 10 Thousand Dollars. The highly awaited truck comes in 3 models, a single motor with rear-wheel drive, a double motor, and a triple motor design with all-wheel drive, which all have their significant advantages. Unlike other awaited EV pickup trucks like the Canoo Pickup Truck and the Ford F-150 Lightning, or even the recently released Rivian R1T, the Cybertruck has its hands on 3 different price points due to its 3 separate models, with the most affordable, the single motor model, coming in at nearly 40 Thousand Dollars.
Though it has been delayed numerous times since its initial announcement at the Tesla Design Studio in Los Angeles in December of 2019, the Cybertruck’s head designer Franz Von Holzhauzen, and Musk have been working tirelessly to bring out the best Tesla electric vehicle they can with the Cybertruck. After their initial presentation of the truck’s impenetrable windows went wrong, the team muscled up their innovation even further with numerous trials that ultimately led to its impenetrable glass that couldn’t even be scratched by a heavy-weight sledgehammer.
In April 2022, Tesla held their Cyber Rodeo event in Austin, Texas, home of one of their 6 factories around the world, in which their headquarters also operates. Thousands of people were eagerly waiting for updates on the Cybertruck, which was finally revealed in Elon Musk’s classic, cool fashion. Along with head designer Franz Holzhauzen, they revealed the Cybertruck on stage with a few modifications, the most notable being the absence of door handles, with some guessing it includes a newly introduced sensor that will sense the user approaching and open the door for them. This is a feature that is mostly unknown as of May 2022, as to how exactly it works. However, our guess is that there is going to be a non-contact key system or app that will allow you to open and lock the doors.
It was also announced at the cyber rodeo event that the Cybertruck will be delivered to its buyers sometime in 2023. But you might be wondering, “What’s taking Tesla so long?” Well, let’s get into other amazing features that make the Cybertruck worth waiting for.
