LCD & Multiplexed Display Update - VB#7

So an update on getting those Displays to work. The LCD is not playing ball - I don't think the datasheet I got from Jaycar is the same as this display (link below). Also the Multiplexed 7-seg display: that hasn't faired well either, which is a shame.
No matter, learnt how to drive them!
