Creating depth in a track is a really important part of mixing. It helps submerge the listener in a world for the track duration. Although sometimes subtle, it really can make the listening experience more enjoyable. Creating depth, however, comes in many ways. Not just time based effects like reverbs & delays. In this video, I want to explain a simple thought process to create depth with any element in your tracks.
