A simple option for suspending a snowmobile track on skids
The greater the suspension travel, the smaller the track's contact area with the snow, reducing the snowmobile's maneuverability. And if the engine power and speed of the snowmobile are low, there's no point in creating a complex and heavy track suspension; it's better to simplify and lighten the design. In my case, installing a shock absorber at the front of the skid plate makes no sense; it would only add cost and weight.
