Do you disable management services on internet facing interfaces? What about separating your data traffic from your management traffic. If you don't know, or you've never thought about this before, today we're going to talk about why it's important to have an out of band management network.

This is a continuation in a series of short videos walking through network security best practices. I'll be using the DoD DISA STIG on Network Infrastructure Policy. Don't worry if you have no background in DoD or government work! We're just using this as a guideline and I'm going to adjust it for both large and small business environments. I'm just using this because I discovered it years ago and think it does a solid job encapsulating a lot of great points.
