The difference between Malay and Indonesian Language
Both Malaysians and Indonesians have adopted Malay as their National Language. To non-native speakers both languages may seem identical, but to native speakers, the differences are noticeable through diction and accent. These differences often lead to incomprehension when used in formal conversation or written communication. This phenomena is due to the fact that Bahasa Malaysia had been greatly influenced by English while Bahasa |Indonesia had been immensely influenced by Dutch.
