For example, in the book of Genesis, it says, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). This verse highlights the unity and intimacy that should exist between a husband and wife.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 - Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
In Hebrew, the word fornication means - Illicit Sexual Intercourse
Illicit means something is unlawful or not permitted by law in a specific jurisdiction.
Not legally permitted or authorized; unlicensed; unlawful. disapproved of or not permitted for moral or ethical reasons.
Sexual intercourse is defined as sexual contact between individuals involving penetration. Oral, Vaginal, Anal, Or also Fingering and or Hand Jobs.
I think a lot of people like to use the excuse - What is not fornication? Are we ok with doing that?
That brings us to our morals.
Some things in the Bible you have to read between the lines. It’s not going to tell you every persons name and individual needs. So knowing what you can handle and what you can’t handle is necessary when it comes to physical intimacy.
How do you handle sexual desires while waiting for marriage?
You flee from them
Sexual desires are natural. I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please. Song of Solomon 8:4
Set boundaries around what arouses him and what arouses you.
The biggest lesson I have learned is my boundaries around what arouses me and what I am emotionally ok with, are not the same as his.
What if one partner wants to wait and the other doesn't?
Often times men won’t want to wait. Because their bodies are more easily aroused.
Women are the symbol of purity in creation.
