Web Ontology Language, OWL is a semantic web language used to represent ontologies. Ontology is a way of showing the properties of a subject area and how they are related, by defining a set of concepts and categories that represent the subject. The main concepts of ontology are concepts, relations, and instances. The two types of properties that exist for OWL are, object property and datatype property.
When then proceed to visualize an ontology using the online visualization tool VOWL.
