Here is how to load and place components in Revit Architecture:
Load Components from the Library:
Go to the Insert tab and click the "Load from Library" panel.
Select "Load Family" to navigate to the folder where the component families are located.
Choose the desired component families, such as furniture, plumbing fixtures, or lighting, and click "Open" to load them into your project.
Place Components:
Once the component families are loaded, go to the Architecture tab and click the "Place Component" tool (or use the "CM" keyboard shortcut).In the Type Selector, choose the specific component type you want to place.
In the drawing area, click to place the component. Use the Spacebar to rotate the component as needed.
For host-based components like plumbing fixtures, you'll need to place them on a wall or other suitable host element.
Adjust Component Placement:
After placing a component, you can use temporary dimensions to precisely position it.
You can also use the "Create Similar" tool to quickly place multiple instances of the same component type.
If you need to move a host-based component to a different host, use the "Pick New Host" tool instead of the standard Move tool.
Create Custom Components (Optional):
If you need a component that is not available in the library, you can create a new family file and model the component from scratch.
Start by selecting the appropriate template file, such as "Furniture.rft", and then model the component in the family editor.
Once the custom component is created, you can load it into your project and place it like any other component
