I found a tutorial on how to make some video eyes using two Teensie processor boards and two OLED screens so I applied the project to one of my existing skeleton figures. I program the eye movements the same way as any other movement, so getting the eyes to remain still while the head turns, or looking at what the hands are doing, etc. is simple by using two analog pots. One record pass for eyes up/down and the second pass for eyes left/right. This gives you the freedom to make each eye do whatever, like looking cross-eyed, etc. The Eye-Blink function is not operational here so the code will need to be modified to accommodate that control. I use four 0-5v outputs from my controller to drive the eyes. Any decent show controller should have this capability. I use Weigl and Gilderfluke controllers for my figure animations. You can find the control hardware and software on the links below. These are professional level controllers and might be beyond the budget of some. You can find cheaper alternatives on the web.
