Edit Caption Text | Zubtitle Tutorial
We believe you'll find that Zubtitle does a pretty good job at transcribing your video’s speech, however, it’s not a completely perfect system. From the misspelling of proper nouns to misunderstanding individual dialects, we know that there are some things that automation won’t always get right.
That’s why Zubtitle provides an advanced Caption Editor, giving you the ability to edit your captions' text for any spelling and grammatical errors.
So let me show you how to edit your caption text at https://zubtitle.com.
Zubtitle’s Caption Editor allows you to preview your captioned video alongside your video's full transcript. As you’re watching the preview, you may come across an error in one of your captions. Fortunately, if you pause the video at any point, the caption line within the editor stays highlighted so that you can find it easily to make any changes.
Simply click directly on the string of text to make these edits. Also, you’ll notice that whenever you click on a different line of text, that line gets highlighted and the video preview reverts to that point within the video. So with this in mind, you may also choose to click line by line through the transcript to fix any mistakes before ever previewing your video.
But the characters themselves are not the only thing you change about your caption text. You’re also able to change the point within each sentence where the caption is separated by a caption break.
As you can see here, the caption break was inserted at an akward place in the sentence. This caption would read a lot easer if we ended the caption right after the period.
It’s really easy to fix this. Simply click in the space where you would like to have the captions separated, then you can either click the Plus button here to insert a new caption break, or simply take this existing caption break and drag it in place.
And that is how you edit caption text within Zubtitle.
