What are measure names and measure values?
Measure Names: Allow us to reference the names of the measures that exist in our data as a separate field of discrete values. Measure Values: Includes all the measures in our data within a single continuous field. Measure values create a separate card with all the measures used for that view referenced in there.
Measure Names is like Measure Values and is also a field created automatically by Tableau. The difference between these two is given by the fact that Measure Names is a dimension and includes the names of all the measures in the data set. Both fields help users to add easily and quickly measures in their analysis.The measure of value is the function of money that enables the values of different goods and services to be compared, also referred to as a unit of value.
