Coral Belt Promotion | Master Alexandre “Soca” Freitas Makes Jiu-Jitsu History
This past Saturday, I had the honor of attending and filming the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coral Belt Promotion ceremony for Master Alexandre “Soca” Freitas.
With fewer than 40 Coral Belts in the world, this milestone represents a lifetime of dedication, sacrifice, and inspiration. Hundreds of students, friends, and family packed the academy to witness a piece of jiu-jitsu history—and celebrate a truly legendary martial artist. Soca shared powerful memories about resisting jiu-jitsu as a kid, the influence of his brother, and how the art has helped him in every aspect of his life. Now, he inspires people of all ages to keep moving forward and become the best version of themselves.
There was so much power, emotion, and heart in that room—every moment a memory worth sharing. I’m deeply grateful to help capture this special day and hope you enjoy a glimpse into this unforgettable celebration.
