Why is the game in Japanese?
• The Japanese version of Vice City is used because the script is different to the international (steam or CD) version due to a re-release after getting censored. This "haitian friendly" version has several instapasses that crash on the international/steam version, such as the Cherry Poppers (distribution) instapass used in No SSU. How do you skip the whole asset buying part?
• With specific setups, you can chain instapasses of Cherry Poppers (distribution) together. This is useful as it skips having to do 5 normal assets to unlock the final 2 missions. Instead, you can just instapass cherry poppers 5 times to reach the end of the game.
Are you cheating?
• No, the whole point of speedrunning is to complete the game as fast as possible without using ANY sort of cheats and programs that would affect the game. Everything you see is a run done in one sitting on a vanilla steam version simply converted into the OFFICIAL Japanese verison and you can do it too!
