Based on the Droid Bot IV sample attachment designed by the Seshan brothers (link below), Silvia van de Wiel has created a very clever powered 'gearbox' attachment. It can be adapted as a lift arm or 90 degree arm attachment.
Note: the attachment requires 1 additional 5x7 black frame, not in the Spike Prime core set.
Pick up and deliver container:
My robot must line follow (using a proportional line follower) to find the coloured square with a container (Cargo Connect container), then lift it and deliver it to the the base.
The programming is complex as my robot has to make many decisions: once it lifts the container, it must ignore non-checked coloured blocks (and T branches on the mat) but it must turn at the last T branch to deliver it to the base. I managed this using variables to count the T branches.
