After 10 years as a professional maker, I wanted to ask a simple question:
If I had to start woodworking today with nothing… what tools would I buy with a strict $100 budget?
So I’m heading to Harbor Freight with $100 to build the simplest — but complete — woodworking toolkit possible.
Challenge Rules
• $100 for tools (this video)
• $100 for materials in the next video
• No tools from my shop
• No borrowing tools
From there, the goal is to grow the shop using only the profit from the original $200.
