Well howdy there, survivors. Rusty Old Man here, and today we’re using a little questionable old man science to figure out the best way to counter shotgun traps in Rust.
Shotgun traps are one of the most common base defense tools in Rust, and if you raid enough bases, sooner or later you’re going to find one waiting around a corner ready to remove your kneecaps, your confidence, and whatever loot you were hoping to profit with.
In this video, I test different ways to counter shotgun traps using all three shields: the Wooden Shield, Reinforced Wooden Shield, and Metal Shield. We’ll look at how each shield performs, how they can help protect you, and which option makes the most sense when you’re trying to safely deal with shotgun traps during a raid.
